The Art Institutes
Several locations across the United States offer classes in several disciplines, including photography. Only the Art Institute of Atlanta offers a BFA in Photography. Several schools offer Associate degrees in photography. An online school is available for classes in graphic and digital design.
The Photography Center of Atlanta
It's called "MagicSilver.com" but is the home page for the Photography Center of Atlanta, which offers classes, books, a gallery and studio activities. If you're just getting started, or looking to brush up on some techniques, this could be a good place to begin.

Visual Studies Workshop
Located in Rochester, New York, the Visual Studies Workshop offers photography workshops, regular exhibitions, education and artist programs and is the home for afterimage magazine.
The Showcase School
The Showcase School of Photography began in January 1996 by popular demand to offer amateur photography classes in Atlanta. Our first session enrollment began with a few photography lovers enrolled in five different classes. Today we teach photography to more than 400 students each 6-week session taking one or more of a broad range of classes and workshops. Our students range in age from 18 and up and each brings his or her varied interests and backgrounds to create an amazing pool of creative energy. Our class sizes continue to remain small.

In each of its locations, SCAD plays a vital role in the local communities. All Workshops are for photographers with fully adjustable (focus, shutter, aperture) digital cameras. Workshops are limited to small groups of students to insure an intimate and individualized, productive atmosphere.
